RANGJUNG PEMA NYINGTIG DRUBCHÖ

PROGRAM

May 1 to 7, 2024

Rangjung Pema Nyingtig is a mind terma revealed by Kyabje Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche .

It was first revealed in Tibet when Kyabje Khyentse Rinpoche was with Jamyang Khyentse Chökyi Lodrö. The revelation was kept secret and the texts were left in the Mindroling Monastery and ended up being lost. Years later, in exile in Nepal, Trulshik Rinpoche heard about this practice while receiving the oral transmission of Kangyur from Khyentse Rinpoche and asked him to reveal it again. They went to Yangleshö, and after seven days of practice, Khyentse Rinpoche revealed the practice for the second time. Later, when a copy of the original text, which had been found in Tibet, was brought to Nepal, it was found to be identical.

As Orgyen Tobgyal Rinpoche explains: The mandala of the Rangjung Pema Nyingtik includes Guru Rinpoche as the lama, the Kagye Eight Sadhana of the Assemblies of Sugatas as the Yidam, Vajravarahi as the Dakini, and the dharmapalas "brother and sister" as protectors of the dharma. This is why it is called the "gathering of the three root deities" and is compared to a wish-fulfilling jewel." For more details, see Orgyen Tobgyal Rinpoche's teaching on this cycle and Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche.

A drubchö is an intensive Vajrayana practice in which lamas, monks, and participants perform numerous group meditations, recitations, ceremonies, etc., in several sessions throughout the day.

These joint practices have profound beneficial effects, including: purifying and avoiding obstacles in our practice and life, and contributing to peace and harmony in the world, and can be an important step on the spiritual path to awakening.
