The new center
Kangyur Rinpoche Foundation started the construction of the New Temple and Cultural Center of Covão da Águia, in Monchique, in April 2025, under the inspiration, guidance and supervision of Pema Wangyal Rinpoche and Jigme Khyentse Rinpoche and in accordance with the vision of Amala – Jampa Chökyi.
The new center will have capacity for 400 people and all the necessary facilities to host large cultural events (conferences, gatherings, retreats, etc.).
The first phase was to mold the land and stabilize the terraces in order to support the foundations of the buildings.
At the end of 2025, construction is progressing steadily, and we are currently finishing the foundations and starting the pillars of the buildings.
Making this Cultural Center a reality requires everyone’s support. Any amount is a step towards establishing this space.
